Diese Zusammenstellung beruht auf Listen, die mir von Martin Imlau,
Klaus Weber, Stefan Schwardt, Holger Boettcher (Liste von Boris
Grotz), Markus Schaile und Michael Ottenbruch zugesandt wurden, des
weiteren auf eigene Funde und einzelne Nachfragen - thanx to Dennis
Higbee, Susan Carroll-Clark and Carolyn Boselli - und Ergänzungen von
Michael Honig, Armin Herbert und Martin Seine.
Es gibt noch eine weitere Liste an verschiedenen Stellen im Netz, die
unter AKRONYMS und ähnlichen Namen abgelegt ist; diese Liste enthält
allerdings Abkürzungen aller Art, weniger die usenet-spezifischen
Abkürzungen, auf die es mir ankam.
Ich denn auch versucht, diese Liste auf usenet-spezifische
Abkürzungen zu beschränken, also zumeist solche, die für
umgangssprachliche Phrasen stehen; Abkürzungen für Firmen, Produkte,
Computerbestandteile und technische Verfahren habe ich normalerweise
weggelassen.
Die Liste kann von mir aus frei verbreitet werden; wer Ergänzungen
